Does this look familiar?

We set up the bouncy swing for Rowan yesterday. He seemed to enjoy it, though we probably shouldn't let him bounce until a 1/2 hour after he's eaten. It was a good weekend - I'm sorry it's already over.

Highlights this week: Kristin's birthday on Thursday. I'm taking the day off work to be with her, while we begin Christmas shopping.

The kids are doing well, though we are having a hard time convincing Rowan to sleep in his own bed. This is a deadly path to go down, I know (deadly is too strong, I know.) I realize we need to just let him cry, but we are taking the easy way out for now, where we can all get a little sleep.

Suggestion for dealing with the "Sleep" issue. I was advised by an old time Dr.about 65 years ago to not make the mistake of picking the baby up when he cries in his bed but to stand by the bed and perhaps pat his little body somewhere or rub his arms, cheeks, or something while soothing his with your voice. Thereby re-assuring him that you are 'there for him' and when he finally calms down, you go back to bed. This takes a few nights but if it solves the problem you can once again get a good night's sleep. It worked for me for many years.

Rowan could do an etrade.com commercial.
